This collection features huaraches that follow the traditional handmade process, but use leather that is soft, durable, and sturdy. As is typical of leather crafted products there may exist minor natural blemishes, but great attention to detail is placed to the sizing, fit, and finish.
The Grueso style huarache sandals is another classic Mexican sandal that remains rare to find to this day. Popular in the 1960's and 70's this huarache style became popular because of its bulkyand heavyweight look. A popular style amongst customers that require a wide width fit due to a slightly wider toe box.
The handwoven upper is made with soft leather strips that are tightly woven and allow for this huarache to be more enclosed than the Pachuco style. These huaraches feature a leather-lined insole and an outsole that is made from durable natural rubber.
This style is only available in whole sizes, so if you wear a half size we recommend sizing down.
